Night Simulator Fixture
Patented Alternating red/white fixtures controlled by an external timer simulating night and day events, creating the perfect lighting schedule. Studies have shown that a good lighting schedule improves milk production substantially. All current client sites are experiencing increased production. What stood out in the past was that when looking at the data, newly built dairy sites all had a record first year when compared to other new sites with the same footprint using 24-hour white lighting only fixtures.
Wattage Savings
Less wattage on the red light cycle is a big energy saver. We are seeing clients with a 3.5 year payback just due to this function alone.
Safety
Providing red light creates a night time simulation for the cows while still providing enough light for worker safety. Red light also cuts through fog better than white light.
Installation Savings
We have created a special controller built into each fixture that cuts down the cost of needing expensive wire for large runs and is capable of having more fixtures on a single circuit with a small gauge wire for the control function.
